This is our first international co-production project. It has been a delight working with our Scottish partners Mediaco-op on this UK/Canada co-production for BBC ALBA, with a feature-length cinematic version in post-production now.
“The Bridge Rising” tells the story of the Skye Bridge tolls, Scotland’s first PFI scheme. In the words of the protagonists themselves, from protesters to politicians, police to prosecutor, journalist to engineer – this film unpicks the twists and turns of the10-year battle against the tolls in a stylishly-shot production.

“All Sides of the Wind”
Broadcast rights available
Stuart Cresswell’s personal quest for answers is a topical film that takes us inside the arguments for and against industrial wind energy.
He journeys through the history of wind power with a look at wind and water mills in England and then takes us to a huge offshore wind farm off the coast of Norfolk, England, and flies over new wind farms in Nova Scotia, Canada.
He interviews wind energy supporters and opponents on both sides of the Atlantic along with industry experts and he uncovers surprising facts along the way.
Stuart’s honesty and warm presenting style makes this program an important tool to help stimulate debate on this contentious topic.
“Painting the Wilderness”
Broadcast rights available
Canadian naturalist and wilderness painter Mark Brennan enjoyed a breakthrough year, with his first solo show at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, he featured in a CBC Radio documentary and a book of Nova Scotian artists. Amid all this, he ventured again into the Canadian wilderness to create more paintings and trekked deep into his past to search for his first ‘painting in the wilderness’.
